WINS facilitates capacity building, offers support to access funds while mainstreaming HIV positive women. Our committed team has been actively involved in HIV care and prevention for 25 years now.
Key Activities
- Provide information and education about HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
- Establish referral mechanisms for diagnosis and treatment of HIV and STIs
- Deepen dialogue/engagements/networking between women individually and collectively to build self-confidence and positivity among women in sex work
- Women leaders -Role models spread messages on “self-awareness and well being”
- Dealt various myths and misconceptions replaced them with scientific understanding of HIV
- Women act against stigma and discrimination
- Assist PLHAs with legal procedures and help them claim their civil social political rights
- Educate people about healthy ways of living with HIV
- Offer livelihood support to access funds for the vulnerable women living with HIV
